About the Moyer Prune:
The parent of the Moyer , Brooks, is a long-time favorite in
Western Oregon. Oval shaped fruit with purplish-black skin and
yellow flesh. The
purple-black of the skin bleeds in to the flesh.
Larger and sweeter than
Italian. It is
reported that the Moyer is sweeter than the Brooks.
Used fresh and for canning and drying. Ripens one week
earlier than Italian. Self-fruitful.
